Governor Granholm Declares NCRC Week
Michigan Governor Granholm proclaimed the week of October 17-23 to be Career Readiness Certificate Week in Michigan. Michigan's National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is the state's standard to ensure their workforce is job ready and certified. The week coincided with the 6th Annual Michigan NCRC Conference in Lansing, MI on Thursday and Friday, October 21 and 22.
The state of Michigan has embraced the NCRC throughout its workforce development and educational system. All high school Juniors are required to take the three WorkKeys assessments that make up the NCRC. The Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth (DeLEG) has embraced the Certificate in its policies as well. See the entire story here:
